Communications & Industry Data Intern

Project Overview
My main two projects this summer were redesigning the backend workflow of the company profiles section on the Foundation’s website for the Communications team and supporting ongoing initiatives to strengthen the Foundation’s engagement with industry partners and expand opportunities for collaboration.

Results
This summer, I applied analytical research skills to benchmark comparable webpages, then combined those insights with user experience, or UX, design principles to develop strong final mockups for a new, maintainable company profiles webpage for Foundation staff.

My work with FUS Partners led to new relationships with multiple industry partners.

Which accomplishments from your internship are you most proud of?
I am most proud of how I strengthened my cross-functional collaboration skills by being able to cater to both the FUS Partners and Communications teams.

How will your accomplishments impact the field of focused ultrasound?
Although my work did not impact the field of focused ultrasound directly, it helped support the backend of the foundation’s operations, which I know will help the foundation grow faster.

What is one tip that you would give 2027 summer interns?
You shouldn’t limit yourself to your team; there are so many interesting people at the Foundation who want to help you. Make sure to talk to everyone.
