  • Four students joined the Foundation to complete projects related to improving efficiency across various departments.
  • Learn more about each intern and their experience this summer.

This summer, the Foundation welcomed four talented student interns whose projects centered around a shared goal: streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Their work spanned website improvements, market research, information technology automations, and the exploration of artificial intelligence tools designed to support researchers. Across these areas, the interns introduced new approaches and practical solutions that strengthened the Foundation’s operations while contributing to its evolving priorities.

“I was impressed with each of our interns’ genuine eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges,” said Jenna Barazi, co-director of the Foundation’s Scholars Program. “We are grateful for the time, energy, and creativity they brought to their projects and for the ways their work helped advance the field of focused ultrasound. We wish each of them continued success in their future endeavors.”

Now in its 15th year, the Foundation’s summer intern program is part of the Dan and Lou Jordan Focused Ultrasound Internship Program. The program was named in March 2024 and made possible by the generous financial support of Mr. Tom Johnson to recognize the Jordans’ contributions and show appreciation for their belief in the importance of education and cultivating the next generation of researchers and clinicians.
